Explore Vietnam’s southern wonders on this luxurious journey into one of Southeast Asia’s most fascinating regions. You’ll begin your laidback Vietnam tour exploring the streets of Ho Chi Minh City and taking in its many striking contrasts. Fabulously delicious restaurants vie for space with street vendors selling remarkable wares, while the city’s local markets are juxtaposed against charming colonial architecture. You’ll soon discover that Ho Chi Minh is filled with intriguing sites and a fanciful history to match.

Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City
Upon arrival, you will be met outside the baggage claim area by your guide who will escort you to a waiting vehicle for your transfer to downtown with a brief introduction en route. Your guide will be holding a welcome signboard with the Vietnam typical tours logo & your name. The rest of the day is at your leisure to explore the tree-lined boulevards, French Indochinese architecture and tranquil lakes of this unique city.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City Tour
After breakfast, your guide will arrive to show you around Ho Chi Minh City. You’ll visit the History Museum where there is a special exhibition of the 5th century ‘Oc Eo’ civilisation. The Museum of War Remnants provides a very partial, but riveting, perspective of the ‘American War’: not for the squeamish! The huge Ben Thanh market, one of the liveliest areas of Ho Chi Minh City, is packed with every conceivable commodity. You’ll also call in at the Jade Emperor Temple. It’s one of the best Taoist temples in Vietnam, with superb effigies, remarkable carved panels of the descent to Hell and somewhat incongruous terrapin and tortoise sanctuaries. You’ll finish your day with a visit to a lacquer workshop to see the complex processes and meticulous workmanship involved in this traditional Vietnamese craft product. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City

Day 3: Ho Chi Minh city - Tay Ninh Temple - Cu Chi Tunnels
After breakfast, drive to visit The Great Holy See temple, built in 1926, is considered one of the most striking structures in all of Asia. It is headquarter of Caodaism, a religion with colorful mix of Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism. You will attend the noon prayer session to witness the daily mass held by the Cao Dai followers, which is a great experience. Lunch is at a local restaurant. After lunch, you’ll drive to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodations and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Back to Saigon in the afternoon.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta
Depart for the Mekong Delta, leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind to travel through Vietnam's picturesque countryside with its rice paddies and rural villages. Upon arrival in the Delta board the charming, traditional sampan boat, the Song Xanh for a leisurely exploration of the Mekong River and its hidden treasures. Overnight on Cruise

Day 5: Tra On - Can Tho
A delicious breakfast is served on board while the boat cruises across the Mekong to Tra On Floating Market where you'll take in traditional sights such as rice barges, wooden ship building yards and even fruit drying along the Mekong's banks. After paying a visit to the colourful floating market we'll take you to hotel, situated on the banks of the Mekong. Enjoy an afternoon of free time, or as an optional extra indulge in spa treatments. Overnight at hotel in Can Tho.
